Controversial Takes Hook
Why It Works
- Authoritative Hook: Conni begins by highlighting 10+ years of experience, instantly signaling authority and expertise.
- Curiosity Sparker: People naturally want to know why these views are labeled “controversial,” sparking them to read on.
- Curiosity Gap: We only get 1 of the 11 “controversial views,” creating the need to discover the remaining 10.
- Clear Numbered Format: Announcing “11” points and leading with #1 delivers immediate value and drives readers to seek out the rest.

Age + Experience Hook
Why It Works
- Personal & Relatable Hook: A mix of our Age Hook (also used by Claudia!) + relatability by resonating with woman who dream of leaving the "grind" behind.
- Emotional Trigger: Leaving the corporate grind is a big pain point which triggers hope and curiosity as people continue reading to the next line.
- Curiosity Spark/Gap: The phrasing "11 brutal truths" makes us feel she will continue being blunt and hard-hitting, while also building a gap in our knowledge.

If You Don't, You'll Never Template Template
Why It Works
- Curiosity Spark: By stating "you'll never maintain a healthy weight" this sparks curiosity and keeps the women who were initially called out engaged.
- Clear Broadly Applicable Promise: Dr. Webb uses a specific number for her promised list and leaves it broadly applicable for all women.
- Simple Curiosity Gap: Dr. Webb doesn't give anything away, leaving the gap open between what her audience knows (nothing yet!) and what they want to know (the 7 things they all need!)
