2 Minute Explanation
Why It Works
- Attention Grabbing Graphic: Sean uses a graphic with edits to grab our attention and stop the scroll, and then keeps it with a great first-post.
- Curiosity Sparker: Sean identifies a problem by saying "But it's a concept that just isn't mentioned enough" to build on our curiosity.
- Make It Seem Easy: Sean says "explained in 2 minutes", making us feel like we could understand this topic regardless of whether or not we have experience.

Free Education Hook
Why It Works
- Attention Grabbing Hook: The mix of free and money grabs attention and even triggers some hope to go along with the curiosity Codie is building on.
- Bold Claim: "99.9% are worthless" is a bold statement, and continues to push the curiosity gap, making us wonder which fall into the .1%.
- Easy To Read: Codie's simple formatting allows us to scan and read the entire initial post with ease, stopping our scroll and keeping us engaged.

This Is [Name] Hook
Why It Works
- Immediate Curiosity: Similar to the Age Hook, the "This Is [Name]" hook builds immediate curiosity when we think "Okay, why should I care...?"
- Storytelling: We notice we're getting more than Shonda's philosophy as we already see her rags-to-riches story right in the hook.
- Borrowed Credibility: Not only using an image to grab attention but also listing Shonda's achievements allows Nicolas to borrow her credibility in his hook.
The Template
This is [Name].
[Short description of who they are or what they’re known for].
From [humble beginnings or starting point], they are now [impressive status or milestone]. [Skill or trait] is why [big achievement or recognition].
